Winchester Festivals 2022

Festivals are Returning to Winchester!

After what feels like far too long, festivals are finally making a welcome return to Winchester.

The first one on the calendar is the Watercress Festival which will once again line the streets of Alresford on Sunday 15th May.

There will be music from all sides of the musical spectrum - the local Ukulele Band to jazz, the a rock choir and carnival style performances.

There will also be a kids zone, cooking demonstrations, street food, shopping and of course the famous Watercress Eating Championships!

Entry to the festival is free but charity collections will be taking place around the festival

Next on the festival list is Swanfest on 18 June at Swanmore College.

This years lineup is headlined by Martin Kemp doing a full DJ set along with his son Roman Kemp also doing a DJ set. More acts are still to be announced but it already sounds like a great day!

Tickets start from £10 available from https://www.swanfest.co.uk/

Then comes the Wallop Wheels and Wings Festival on July 2 at Middle Wallop.

The day will showcase some of the finest classic aircraft, classic and super cars and motorcycles in the UK.

There will also be live music, food stalls and the all important beer tent!

Tickets start at £11 and are available from here https://armyflying.digitickets.co.uk/event-tickets/35101

Next up is the return of the Foodies Festival on 15-17 July at North Walls Recreation Ground.

As always the foodies festival is a great mix of live music and delicious food. The line up for this includes Gabrielle, 911 and Rozalla on the music stage and Jack Sturgess, Shelina Permalloo and Bake Off favourite Jurgen Krauss.

Along with the live music and chef talks/demos there is also an artisan market, kids cookery and pop up bars.

Tickets start from £18 and are available here https://foodies.seetickets.com/tour/foodies-festival?startdate=15-07-2022&enddate=17-07-2022

Last on our whistle stop tour of local festivals is Boomtown on 10-14 July in Winchester.

Boomtown was recently ranked as the second best festival in the UK and has this year taken the decision to keep the lineup secret until the festival itself!

Boomtown is big, Boomtown is bright and Boomtown is loud!
