The perfect stay! Great organisation and communication with Desiree from the start and Beverley the co-host who lives next to the property couldn't have been more helpful. The apartment itself was of hotel comfort but with all the benefits of a modern kitchen with all the modern appliances you need and good quality cutlery and crockery. It was the attention to detail that really made this apartment stand out particularly the quality of the bed, the sofa bed and the bed linen and towels provided. Finally the central location - a 5 minute stroll into town or the station was perfect. A parking permit was also provided which made parking easy. Would highly recommend. '
From West End Terrace there are steps up to a paved path leading to the apartment's private front door and beyond to the raised porch entrance of the main house.
The Annexe occupies one entire level of this elegant, mid 19th century 6 level town house, providing an open plan living reception room (kitchen/dining/sitting), a double bedroom with adjoining shower room and a pretty little terraced/patio garden to the right of the front door.
This elegant semi-detached town-house is understood to have been built in about 1855 and between 1931 and 1951 it is understood that it formed part of St Catherine’s School, a small primary school for girls and boys.
The house was then reverted back to an independent residence and has remained as such until the present day. There are elegant high ceilings in the apartment and the accommodation it is well proportioned and laid out.
The property has been well maintained by the present owners and recent improvements over the years have included the complete refurbishment of the annexe apartment.
