sunday Brunch at Greens
Finding ourselves at a loose end last Sunday, my friend and I decided to stop off for brunch at Greens.
It was a glorious warm, sunny day and the thought of sitting inside just wasn’t appealing, we wanted to top up the vitamin D and watch the world go by - Greens was perfect. Lovely outside seating, by the road but still quiet and a beautiful facade to top it off.
We were greeted quickly and given the option of inside or outside dining and a choice of tables. Although they were busy the day we visited they quickly cleared the tables and offered us menus.
The full menu wasn’t available on the day we were there but all the brunch options were as were the waffles and a full roast menu from midday. I opted for a full vegan breakfast and my friend had the waffles with mixed berries.
Service was very quick and the food looked amazing - we already knew it would be though as other diners were already instagramming their meals and drinks!
The food was delicious and filling without being too much and we were asked several times if everything was to our liking.
The atmosphere of Greens was delightful. Diners of all ages were enjoying their food and cocktails - we could have stayed there all day people watching and enjoying the food!
It was peaceful but also had a cool intimate vibe that felt exclusive even though it was very reasonably priced and obviously open to all.
The toilets deserve a mention too as they are exquisite - well the ladies is anyway, I can’t speak for the gents! The cubicles look like they are made from reclaimed timber and the toilets themselves are beautiful high level flush and to top it off the hand soap smells divine!
All in all, brunch at Greens was a great success and we’d definitely go there again. 5 out of 5 from us for service, food, atmosphere and the wonderful toilets!
