Travelling to Winchester via public transport is really easy at the right time of day. However, if you have a very late flight arrival we suggest you travel by taxi or hire a car or stay near the airport that night and arrive at your accommodation the following day.

Car
The M3 is only a few miles out of Winchester city centre.
Exit at Junction 9 if travelling from the north and junction 10 if travelling from the south.
All of our properties have parking available.
Off-street parking and on-street parking is most common and for properties where parking is difficult, please use a nearby public car park and we shall refund you the parking fees.

Victoria Coach Station in central London
The coach station is located at The Broadway where you'll see The King Alfred statue.
Train
Winchester train station is located centrally and serves London Waterloo in one hour and Southampton Central and Southampton Airport Parkway in under 30 minutes.
The train station is on average a 10 minute walk from most of our properties but please do not hesitate to ask for an exact walking distance and route.

BUS
Bluestar No. 1 service leaves Southampton City Centre (stop CU Hanover Buildings) approximately every 20 minutes. The journey takes 50 minutes to Winchester Bus Station and the bus station is across the road from the Visitor Information Centre, situated on The Broadway (postcode SO23 9GH).

FERRY
Winchester is a 40 minute drive from Portsmouth’s continental ferry port or approximately an hour by train from Portsmouth Harbour or Portsmouth & Southsea stations.
AIR
Winchester is just 15 minutes by road or rail from Southampton International Airport. London Heathrow is 50 miles away and London Gatwick is 72 miles away.
CRUISE
Winchester is a 20 minute drive from Southampton’s Cruise terminals. For those arriving by cruise into Southampton, Winchester is easily reached from Southampton Central Train station, (take cruise company shuttle bus to city centre) with connections approximately 3 times an hour.
