' I have been in the jewellery and fashion business for nearly 30 years and have worked with a great many other designers from young students to established professionals. I have also a life long love of historical jewellery thanks in part to my degree in Art History. So if you look at my pieces you will see that there is lot of historical referencing although they are very contemporary too. I believe in jewellery that is affordable and wearable so all my pieces are made in silver rather than gold and then plated in 22ct gold. I think jewellery should be of good quality and not fall apart so I make things to last but also to be worn and enjoyed.
All my stones are semi precious and the pearls are real - I love colour and think natural stones can be very flattering to the skin.'

Mews Cottage is a part of an historic brick and flint former stables building converted in 1973 set in a quiet cul-de-sac, a short stroll to the city centre and the main railway station. The cottage continues to reflects Karen's contemporary historical style with modern furnishings and homely cottage features.
This is an ideal grounding point for a couples winter city break visiting the Winchester Christmas Market and returning to a hot chocolate in front the fireplace with Christmas films.
